The performance “AFTERMATH” is a film of cinematic memories about a man in trouble that will be shot in a single day with the participation of the audience in the public space. The performative shooting of the movie will be narrated from an almost autobiographical perspective, evoking the memory of scenes from films that left their mark on the collective imagination. A version of this project, shot in Stuttgart-City as part of the PÖBELN II festival, will be part of the exhibition in eindorf.
The exhibition will also show a selection of new animations for adults, and the sculptural paintings used to create them, under the name „MY FAVORITE THINGS“.

„AFTERMATH“ was filmed within the framework of the PÖBELN II Project and supported by the City of Stuttgart. „MY FAVORITE THINGS“ is a project supported by BMKOES.

Oscar Cueto was born in Mexico City, lives and works in Austria. He holds a TransArts MA from the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
His artistic work deals with issues of history, knowledge, identity, and memory. Cueto’s projects are developed flexibly with regard to a great variety of techniques, such as drawing, collaborative projects, or performative installations. His works have been exhibited in several countries and are part of various collections in museums as well as public and private art institutions. Since 2017, Cueto has been inviting artists to Austria to work on his nomadic project MUME / Museo Mexicano
